Wayne Brady is seriously considering making a major life decision — getting a vasectomy. The “Let’s Make a Deal” host, 52, opened up about it during an appearance on The Talk alongside his family, which includes his daughter Maile Brady, ex-wife Mandie Taketa, and her husband Jason Fordham.

The conversation kicked off when Maile, 21, mentioned she thought her dad’s talk about getting a vasectomy wasn’t just a joke. “I thought it was happening,” she said, prompting Taketa, 48, to also ask if the vasectomy was just a running gag. Brady responded decisively, “You know what, I will get a vasectomy.”

“I’ve already got two [kids]. I’m 52. I’m not Moses or somebody from the Bible that needs to go forth. Nope. I’m done. In fact, I should schedule an appointment right after the show,” Brady joked, eliciting laughter from the audience.

While Brady shares Maile with Taketa, he recently welcomed a second child, Val Henry, with his ex-girlfriend Tina, whom he dated off and on during the pandemic. The news came as a surprise to Brady, but he’s embraced fatherhood with open arms.

Although the circumstances surrounding Val’s arrival were challenging, including the emotional weight of having just returned from his mother’s funeral when he received the news, Brady remains committed to being the best father he can be.

Back on The Talk, after the audience’s applause, Maile doubled down on her dad’s decision, encouraging him to follow through. “Take a self-care weekend. Get some ice. Start praying,” she told him, offering some playful but supportive advice.

With two kids and a busy life, it seems Wayne Brady is ready to take a step toward closing this chapter of fatherhood — with a sense of humor and plenty of love for his family.
