Singer Bobby Brown donated an outfit and other relics to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on Monday.
The ensemble was a custom red and white outfit he had tailor made for his 2016 Soul Train Awards tribute performance of his 1988 hit “My Prerogative” to the song’s producer Teddy Riley. Riley was that year’s SOUL TRAIN LEGEND AWARD Honoree.

During Brown’s presentation speech in Cleveland he took the time to give his glory to God and share how Jimi Hendrix handwritten lyrics to “Purple Haze,” which are on display at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum, touched him spiritually as a song writer. For those familiar with the exhibit, you know after the words “purple haze,” Hendrix famously wrote the words “Jesus Saves” and then crossed it out before crumbling it up and tossing it out.
