Remembering The Playwright Who Gave Juicy & Gary With Da Tea A Shot [EXCLUSIVE]
Shelly Garrett was known for starting urban plays. He recently passed away at the age of 71 due to stomach cancer. Juicy and Gary With Da Tea met each other doing his play and traveling.
He was known for his hit play “Beauty Shop,” and influenced people like Tyler Perry. Gary mentioned he gave him a lot of opportunities and a start. We will continue to keep his family and friends in our prayers.
