Wright was 34 and had stopped playing basketball for a year. After his death the city mourned him at a memorial service. Police never found out who allegedly killed him until now. This past weekend the Memphis Police Director Mike Rallings made an announcement about two indictments in the case.
His ex-wife, Sherra Wright-Robin was taken into custody and was indicted on charges of not only first-degree murder as well as conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. Billy Turner was also charged and arrested. Rallings didn’t explain what their motive was and said, “It’s safe to say they knew each other.” We will keep you updated on this story.
