Cam Newton found himself in the heat of Twitter’s wrath when he responded to a female reporter in a way many deemed sexist. At a press conference, when she asked him a detailed question about one of his fellow player’s “routes,” Cam responded that he was amused by her being a woman and using that word.

But, she’s a sports reporter, and it’s her job to know that word. Cam issued an apology already, but people are still debating the validity of all the buzz surrounding the interaction.
