Michel’le‘s highly anticipated and controversial film, “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me,” premiered on Lifetime over the weekend. The portrayal of Dr. Dre‘s abuse of Michel’le when they dated years ago ignited a lot of ire from twitter users as they watched the film. Many people even begun talking about boycotting Dr. Dre’s “Beats” brand headphones and other forms of organized showings of contempt for him.

But everyone who is all up in arms about Dr. Dre’s actions, there are also people who feel like it’s too little, too late. And that, perhaps, Dr. Dre doesn’t need to be punished as a grown man for the horrible actions he carried out in his twenties.
