Husband Charged With Manslaughter After Killing Man Who Tried To Rape His Wife
A Bronx husband is being charged with manslaughter after saving his wife from being raped. According to reports, the woman returned to her Washington Avenue apartment at 10:15 p.m. on Monday when suspect, Earl Nash, illegally entered the building and attacked her with a chair while removing her clothes. The woman was able to get away and call her husband, Mamadou Diallo, who happened to be outside and rushed to her rescue.
Diallo and Nash got into a violent altercation on the sixth floor that resulted in Nash being left in critical condition. He later died Lincoln Hospital from his injuries.
Nash served five years in prison for a 2006 conviction for selling drugs and bribery.
