Dallas-based pastor and friend of the show, Dr. Fredrick D. Haynes III, will be inducted in the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame in Atlanta on January 22nd, 2016!

Dr. Haynes is senior pastor of Friendship-West Baptist Church, and has been highly praised by President Barack Obama for his Thr!ve Intern and Leadership program that has employed nearly 100 young black males over the summer, in addition to the millions of dollars he has led his church in raising and donating to HBCUs and scholarship aid to students.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Haynes has dedicated himself to fighting the social injustices in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area by working with local officials and neighborhood groups to decrease the crime rate in minority communities, fight domestic violence and poverty, address predatory lending, and provide housing, food and clothing for low income families, all alongside his congregation.

Dr. Haynes will be inducted alongside civil rights figures Dr. Amelia Boynton Robinson (posthumously), Dr. Jamal Bryant, Dr. Jim Holley, The Honorable Gordon L. Joyner and Dr. Raphael Warnock. The induction ceremony will take place at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, and it is open to the public!
