The racial tensions that have led to protests, hunger strikes, boycotts, and resignations of officials at the University of Missouri are sparking a very important conversation.
While African American students of the college have been facing death threats online, advising them to not come to campus, many have spoken out on the matter.
Since then, a conversation has been triggered on social media, including the hashtag #blackoncampus, with many other students sharing their stories of racism and discrimination at their schools.
The topic of conversation was started by Mizzou’s Concerned Student 1950 group, which has been behind many of the demonstrations taking place on campus.
