Following the announcement of her Unbreakable World Tour, Janet Jackson dropped the first single from her upcoming album. Sticking true to her sound, No Sleep sounds like Janet circa Anytime, Anyplace and Damita Jo. It’s true R&B vibe sets it apart from the watered down R&B we often heard on the radio and we’re so here for it.
Produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, No Sound begins with sultry elements as it transitions into a funky, peaceful beat. Janet tweeted a link to the song, dedicating it to her “love” using the hashtag #conversationsinacafe. Could she be hinting at the title of her forthcoming disc?
