You can’t really have a proper discussion about lingerie and curves without making room for plus size women.

It’s been a big week for thick girls and lingerie. Calvin Klein got the ball rolling when it included a size 10 model Myla Dalbesio in a series of ads, prompting people to debate what exactly qualifies as plus size and why it was a big deal to have her included with standard size models. Vogue bypassed that entirely by focusing entirely on beautiful bras in larger sizes.

The perfect undergarment will do more than uplift your bust, beauties; it can change the entire way you look at your body and yourself. You stand a little taller and a little prouder–even if it’s only because your bra is changing your posture.

Rather unfortunately for girls whose cups runneth over, designers often toss style overboard for function. In the past this has left us with some unexciting options, but brands are slowly starting to make pretty bras in a wider range of sizes. Thank Gawd!

“Vogue” shined a spotlight on some of the newer options that successfully blend fashion and function in a recent feature. The iconic fashion magazine made sure to include some bigger beauties in the spread, which looked at how the right bra will change your life. The most amazing part? “Vogue” never really made a huge deal about the fact that these models are plus size.

“I probably had boobs at the age of eleven! I was young, and it was definitely the wrong type of bra,” model Marquita Pring told Vogue “In fact I wore the wrong type of bra until I got into this industry and started learning about my body.”

Meanwhile, model Ashley Graham is finding a way to make some coins in this category, showing everyone that she’s got some brains (and business acumen) to go along with her beauty. “I have my own lingerie line for curvy women on @additionelle. I’m also working on some great workout videos for YouTube,” she said. “Honey, I’m building the empire—it’s happening right now!”

Ok, we see you, Ashley! BTW, she’s actually got some really cute stuff on AdditionElle.com. Take a peek at some of her products below.
