“Ride Along” Still No.1 At The Box Office!
Universal’s Ride Along is still riding high at the box office. According to studio estimates, the buddy cop comedy will land at number one again after taking in more than $20 million in its second weekend.
Last week, the Tim Story-director film, which stars Hollywood heavyweights Kevin Hart and Ice Cube, debuted with the biggest three-day MLK holiday opening ever. It nearly doubled studio predictions, which gave a humble $28 million forecast, by earning $48.6 million.
The sophomore weekend brings Ride Along’s total to a whopping $75.4 million.
Navy SEAL drama Lone Survivor came in at number two with $12.6 million and animated squirrel comedy The Nut Job followed with $12.3 million.
Congrats Kev and Cube!
