Robert De Niro Allegedly Checks Jay-Z For Dodging His Phone Calls
Jay-Z may be the best rapper to ever do it, partial owner of the Brooklyn Nets and husband to the baddest chick in the game, but even he, can be scolded by his elders! Page Six of the New York Post reports that the “Empire State Of Mind” rapper received a less than warm welcome when he approached Robert De Niro at Leonardo DiCaprio’s birthday party a few nights ago. According to the report, found at NecoleBitchie.com, De Niro allegedly told Jay he was “disrespectful” for dodging his phone calls regarding a song for the Tribeca Film Festival.

“Bob wasn’t in any mood to make polite conversation,” the spy says. “He told Jay that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude.” When Jay-Z tried to make a joke of it, saying he is terrible on the phone, a source says, “De Niro kept telling him that he thinks he’s the man, but that he was disrespectful.’”
An unnamed source of De Niro’s countered the spy’s claim, saying “It was a low-key private conversation between two people that was apparently overheard. It was not a heated discussion.” As always, there are three parts to a story, side one, side two then the truth… If I may inject my two cents, it sounds like words were exchanged, but no shaking of the table occurred!
Carry on people, carry on…
