Cowboys Fan Who Used Taser On Rival Fans Claims Self-Defense
A Dallas Cowboys fan arrested for zapping three people at MetLife Stadium on Sunday claims he was forced to use his stun-gun out of self-defense.
Larry McKelvey, 59, claims belligerent Jets fans threatened him because he refused to stand during the national anthem, and because he was talking on his phone during a moment of silence.
“Don’t make be out to be a criminal. I was just doing what I had to do to protect myself,” McKelvey said.
The melee in section 324 erupted during the Jets’ season opener against the Cowboys and raised serious questions over how McKelvey was able to get a stun gun past security at MetLife Stadium.
