T.I. Sued For Showing Dead Body On Reality Show
T.I. is being sued by the family of a man whose dead body was shown on the rapper’s now defunct reality show, “Road To Redemption.” The MTV show was meant to show youths the consequences of criminal activity.
In the first episode, T.I. visits a funeral home in Atlanta where he sees the body of Joseph Williams, whose face was blurred out. Williams’ father says that no one in the family gave permission for the body to be televised and that the footage was shown for “financial gain and publicity.”
The suit, which names T.I. as well as MTV and the funeral home, cites mental distress and they are seeking a settlement of an undisclosed amount of money.
