The “Hrs & Hrs” and “Made For Me” singer took to Instagram Live on Monday night (July 28) to address a wave of body-shaming comments and online speculation about her weight. Many fans had begun questioning whether she was pregnant or possibly suffering from a health issue like lupus. But Muni says there’s a much simpler explanation: she’s been enjoying good food.
“I’ve been eating steak and shrimp, and lobster towers and cake—all types of stuff,” she said during the livestream. “I’m not pregnant. I’m not having a lupus flare-up. I’m just eating really, really good.”

At around 145 pounds, the Grammy winner admitted she’s gained some weight, but she’s totally fine with it. “Right now, I’m fat. I’m fluffy. And I enjoy it,” she said with a smile. “The difference between me and you is I don’t give a damn what y’all think about me. As long as I’m alive and I’m breathing, I got family that loves me. I’m healthy. I’m happy.”
Her candid response comes in the middle of an ongoing cultural obsession with celebrity body image. Just earlier this month, Lizzo pushed back at accusations that she was taking weight-loss drugs like Ozempic by sharing before-and-after photos of her own transformation. And Ice Spice also felt the pressure last year, when her fans demanded details about her workout routine after noticing she’d slimmed down.

Muni didn’t hold back in calling out the entitlement behind the public’s curiosity. “Y’all are so nosy, entitled, and rude,” she added, clearly frustrated by how easily people try to diagnose or judge others based on appearance alone.

Beyond the noise, Muni is focused on her music and her momentum. She recently hit the stage at GloRilla’s first annual Glo Bash and is set to join Brandy and Monica on their highly anticipated “The Boy Is Mine Tour,” kicking off in October and running through December.
Her message is loud and clear: she’s living her life, enjoying her food, and not entertaining unsolicited opinions. Muni Long is doing just fine—and she’s making it known that confidence, happiness, and health matter far more than anyone else’s assumptions.
