Zion Williamson Accused of Rape and Abuse in New Lawsuit

New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is being sued in Los Angeles Superior Court in a civil case alleging rape and long-term abuse.
The plaintiff, listed as Jane Doe, claims Williamson sexually assaulted her twice in 2020 and exhibited violent, controlling behavior throughout their multi-year relationship. The suit states Williamson threatened Doe’s life on multiple occasions, allegedly involving his armed security guard, and also threatened her parents.
The alleged abuse spanned multiple states, including California and Louisiana. According to the filing, the relationship began in 2018 during Williamson’s time at Duke and lasted until 2023. Williamson, the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, has played five seasons with the Pelicans, earning two All-Star nods despite injury setbacks.
The lawsuit paints a disturbing pattern of alleged conduct during and after the plaintiff’s relationship with the athlete. Williamson’s representatives have yet to comment publicly on the case.
