Gary’s Tea: Adin Ross Loses Brand Deals After Doechii & Megan Thee Stallion Rant

Adin Ross is learning the hard way that going viral for the wrong reasons can come at a high cost. The popular streamer and internet personality is facing major backlash after a series of recent comments targeting three prominent Black women: Megan Thee Stallion, Doechii, and Halle Bailey.

It started when Ross reignited the controversy surrounding Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez. Lanez is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting Megan in the feet back in 2020 — a conviction that has sparked ongoing debate online. Ross, a longtime friend and supporter of Lanez, doubled down on his disbelief in the verdict during a recent stream. He accused Megan of lying and even went so far as to say on camera, “Show the bullet wound, b**ch.” He also claimed Lanez was innocent and said Megan was trying to ruin his reputation.

This wasn’t the only comment that stirred outrage. Days later, Ross publicly attacked Grammy-nominated artist Doechii, calling her “an entitled, unintelligent piece of s**t” after a video surfaced of her frustrated with her team before walking the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala. In the clip, Doechii was asking for more umbrellas to shield her look from the rain — a moment Ross chose to ridicule, despite the pressure and chaos that often come with high-profile events.
Adding to the drama, Ross also criticized singer and actress Halle Bailey after news broke that she had been granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, DDG. Bailey alleged physical abuse and said she was forced to protect herself and her child. Ross appeared to mock her situation during another broadcast.

Unsurprisingly, the fallout came fast. During a livestream with DJ Akademiks, Ross admitted he lost two major brand deals because of the backlash from his comments. “I’m so mad. My PR was finally getting better. I had two deals lined up — same with DDG — lost both of them,” he said. “It’s not even about the money. It’s just ‘cause I wanted to do it. That’s the reality of how the world works.”

While Ross has not publicly apologized for any of his remarks, many believe this moment could serve as a wake-up call. Critics say his words weren’t just disrespectful — they reflected a broader pattern of tearing down successful Black women.
