Dr. Barron explains when a mastectomy is necessary, and why a breast diagnosis doesn’t always mean removing the breast is required. She also details some of the signs that could serve as a warning to go get it checked out.

Dr. Barron also explains how environmental conditions and diet can help decrease your risk of a diagnosis. As a plastic surgeon, she talks about doing reconstructive surgery for breast cancer patients who have had a mastectomy. Plus, she encourages everyone to get a primary care physician.
