Nowadays so many people have Netflix to watch original programming as well as old movies or binge television shows. The company according to Entertainment Weekly has decided to raise the prices of subscriptions. On October 19th customers will see the increase.

The premium plans will go from $11.99 to $13.99 while the standard plan will go from $9.99 to $10.99. Customers will be notified, but new customers will see the updated prices. This is the first time since 2014 the company has changed prices.

Netflix doesn’t believe the price increase will make customers leave and has so many loyal customers. The service also still offers a lower price than HBO Now. With Netflix raising the price we wonder will other subscription services do the same.
