Meet America’s 101st Supreme Court Justice
On Friday, the Senate confirmed Judge Neil Gorsuch as the 101st Associate Judge to the Supreme Court. Nominated by President Trump, his confirmation did not come without a bitter battle between Republicans and Democrats – with Democrats still reeling from the fact that President Obama was not allowed to appoint a new justice while in office.

He was confirmed 54-45, with the Republicans having “blown up the rules” so that it only took 51 votes for him to be confirmed, as opposed to the 60 vote rule that has been in place for decades.
Judge Gorsuch was sworn in on Monday.
