New details have emerged about Mariah Carey‘s split from fiancé James Packer.

On Thursday, news broke that the billionaire business man called off his engagement to Carey, and now we know why. According to reports, Packer went crazy on a guy he suspected was making moves on Mariah. Sources say he grew jealous of Mimi’s relationship with Bryan Tanaka, her dancer and choreographer, and the tension boiled over in June at Mariah’s show.
According to TMZ, the story goes that Tanaka wasn’t dancing the night of the show in June due to an injury, so Packer thought it was weird that he bothered to show up. Packer pulled Tanaka into a room for a chat, then allegedly a ton of yelling followed. No word if things got physical with the guys, but Packer did reportedly use his casino ties to get Tanaka banned from Caesar’s Palace, where Carey performs. Mariah believes that Packer is mentally unstable. He reportedly got suspicious after she gave Tanaka a lap dance during a May performance in South Africa.
Luckily, ish hit the fan before the pair said their I do’s.
