Kendrick Lamar and Janelle Monae are set to make this Fourth of July weekend an extra special one.

Both artists are scheduled to perform at the White House for an Independence Day concert, according to the White House press secretary Josh Earnest. “White House staff and their families from throughout the administration will also attend this event for the fireworks viewing,” Earnest told reporters at the daily briefing. “There will also be a performance on Monday evening by fellow Kansas Citian Janelle Monáe and Kendrick Lamar,” reports Politico.
Both President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will be hosting notable military heroes and their families at the White House, which will include a barbecue, a concert, and a fireworks display.
