Covering the June issue of Cigar Aficionado Magazine, Diddy says his music career will be concluded with a final album and world tour. “I’m going to put out my last album and devote 100 percent of my time to doing films … I want to stop at a great place,” the 46-year-old music mogul told magazine. “And a final album is a great place to stop. I want to take a victory lap, to do a world tour and really enjoy it once last time.”
The father of six believes the bar is set high for his forthcoming “No Way Out 2” given the fact that it will be his final bow out as an artist. He hopes that this album will seal his legacy. “When I’m gone, only the songs will survive. I know I’m making music that will live on. I don’t go into the studio just to be hot or to hear myself on the radio,” Diddy added. “Michael Jackson, Tupac, Biggie – part of them lives on in their music, even though they’re not here anymore. That’s really deep, man. The only thing like that is religion.”
The Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour is scheduled to kick off on May 20 with an additional date honoring Notorious B.I.G.‘s birthday at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York, dubbed as the “Only Night Only” show. Diddy also confirmed that taking music off his plate with open more time to be spent with his children.
