7-Year-Old Girl Killed After Soccer Practice By A Man She Hugged On The Sidelines
A 7-year-old girl was killed after her soccer practice on Thursday by a man she hugged on the sidelines, TIME reports.
On Thursday night, 7-year-old Emma was seen with her mother in the Taylor Sportsplex in Taylor, Michigan, when a family friend by the name of Timothy Nelson Obeshaw came up and shot both Emma and her mother. He then proceeded to turn the gun on himself. Emma and Obeshaw died on the scene, while the young girl’s mother was left in critical condition.
TIME reports: “According to the press release, “Police still do not have a motive for the shootings, other than witnesses and family members told police that in the past year Obeshaw had started becoming mentally unstable and paranoid. Police found evidence that Obeshaw believed someone was trying to perform mind control on him.”
