Pusha T Named President Of G.O.O.D. Music
Congrats are in order for Virginia native Pusha T and his new position in the rap game. In an exclusive interview with Billboard, the “Sweet Serenade” rapper announced he’s now the president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label.
Pusha’s new career endeavor was an idea Kanye’s been thinking about for a while: “Actually, I was flying home and I had just got into my car at the airport. ‘Ye had called me and he was like, ‘Tell me something. What do you think about being the president of G.O.O.D. Music?’ And I was like, “Well, what are the things that you’re looking for?” And he was basically just like, to manicure the label, make it profitable and be very business-oriented about it going forward in a manicured type of way.”
The label, which has been the musical home of artists like Big Sean, Kacy Hill, Teyana Taylor, Q-Tip, and formerly Kid Cudi and Common, will now have Pusha T championing them as a label executive. Pusha will also be accompanied by his longtime manager Steven Victor, who will now join the label as A&R.
