Amy Poehler And Tina Fey Roast Bill Cosby At Golden Globes
With nearly 30 women leveling charges of sexual assault allegations against him and another 30 women protesting his latest standup comedy performance, Bill Cosby was squarely in the crosshairs of two women Sunday night. As promised, Golden Globe Awards hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey didn’t shy away from making fun of Cosby.
‘Sleeping Beauty just thought she was going out for coffee with Bill Cosby,’ Tina Fey joked in reference to both the movie Into The Woods and claims from many of Cosby’s alleged victims that he drugged their beverages.
During a monologue that also poked fun at their fellow guests including Jennifer Aniston, George Clooney, and Oprah Winfrey, Poehler and Fey also took turns impersonating Cosby’s infamous Jell-O commercials.
‘Bill Cosby admitted, ‘I put the pills in the people. The people did not want the pills in them,’ Poehler joked.
Cosby has seen his public profile plummet since dozens of women came forth with sexual assault allegations against the 77-year-old actor and comedian last November.
This year’s Golden Globe Awards is the third consecutive and final show that Fey and Poehler have co-hosted.
