George Zimmerman's Wife Files For Divorce [VIDEO]

It is reported that almost three months after George ZImmerman‘s acquittal for killing Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman’s wife Shellie is filing for divorce. Her decision comes just days after pleading guilty to perjury about her and her husband’s finances.

In an interview with freelance journalist Christi O’Connor, Shellie admitted that she was unsure of what the future held for her and George. Shellie also shared how the two lived like “gypsies” for a year-and-a-half in fear that someone would find the couple.

Shellie claims that the racially charged case put a strain on their marriage, saying:

“It’s difficult to communicate with your spouse when you’re under so much scrutiny from both sides and I think we both have been fighting for our own individual struggles to be heard by each other and that’s been difficult,”

A local ABC News correspondent in Tampa broke the news on Twitter that Shellie was filing for divorce. The story is still developing.
