Ever since he helped free three captive women in Ohio, Charles Ramsey has been a viral video sensation — complete with an auto-tuned remix and all. And he’s captured the attention of comedian Mike Epps.

But, it’s not just his over-the-top personality that has captured our hearts. Ramsey’s generosity and honestly have proved that he is a hero in more ways than one. He’s refused to accept any potential reward money for his rescue and has spoke openly about a domestic violence arrest in his past.

“Those incidents helped me become the man I am today and are the reason why I try to help the community as much as I can … Including those women,” he said. “If I had so much hatred for women, I would have minded my own business this week and walked away instead of risking my life to save someone else.”
