In about two weeks it will be one year since we lost the legendary Whitney Houston. Hours before last year’s Grammy Awards the world found out that Houston never made it out of her hotel bathroom. For the first time Houston’s mother Cissy speaks publicly about her daughter’s death to who else – no, not Katie – but Oprah.

While the speculation continues about how she died, Cissy seems to believe drugs had nothing to do with it even though cocaine was found in the singer’s system. In an interview that will air on Monday night (1/28) Oprah asks the requisite questions. However in a segment billed as “a revelation no one saw coming” Whitney’s brother Michael is asked if he was the one who introduced the star to drugs.
