Nicki Minaj and will.i.am have released the video for their collaboration, “Check It Out.”
The video is inspired by the Harajuku culture of the Japanese.
In it, Nicki takes the stage of an international talk show, and will.i.am flips – literally – for Nicki, as he raps on the ceiling and gets animated.
“We’re doing almost like an ode to Japanese culture and Japanese anime,” Nicki told MTV News. “I’m obviously a big fan and I’ve joined forces with like the only boy that I know that’s also able to capture that culture.”
The song is the first of two videos from Nicki Minaj that will debut in the weeks before her album “Pink Friday” hits stores on November 23.
