In Omaha, Nebraska a second grader was struck and killed by a school bus.
KETV Omaha reports 8-year-old Haji Mohamed was exiting the bus with other students when he ran into the street in front of the bus.
“We stood there, we prayed, his mother fell to her knees, I brought her back up, we kept praying, I was just hoping he’d make it, I really did,” expressed Jackie Walker a close friend of th family.
Monique Farmer, a spokesperson for the Omaha Public Schools said that they were in cooperation with the Omaha Police.
“It was written before he was born,” explained Amina Khamis, Haji’s mother according to the Omaha World Herald. “It was his time to go.”
Khamis acknowledges that her son’s death was an accident stating, “In order to let him go free, you have to forgive,” she told the World-Herald. “It was an accident.”
