Michelle Obama was in the midst of giving a passionate speech about our obligation to stand up for our kids at a Democratic fundraiser, when a gay rights protester, Ellen Sturtz interrupted her. The First Lady was immediately agitated and scolded the heckler, “One of the things I don’t do well, is this.”

It’s being reported that Sturtz started shouting for President Obama to issue an executive order barring federal contractors from discriminating against employees based on sexual orientation or gender identity. President Obama typically stands stoic, waiting for hecklers to stop, but his better half chose the direct confrontation route.

Michelle Obama walked away from the podium and towards the heckler, until she was in her face, “Listen to me, or you can take the mike, but I’m leaving. You all decide. You have one choice.” The crowd made the choice of Michelle staying and the heckler leaving. Sturtz left, but not without first telling the crowd that she was a lesbian looking for federal equality before she dies.
