Meek Mill‘s fourth studio album “Championships” dropped on Friday and it’s received rave reviews from critics and fans. “The ultimate result is an inspired release that hearkens back to the Roc-a-Fella days of the mid-Aughts, full of diaristic writing, song-cry beats and ridiculous skills,” as Rolling Stone called the 19-track album.
Tweets about it have overwhelmed social media from ecstatic fans, especially with former rivals Meek and Drake collaborating after their legendary beef. Other collabs include Cardi B, Ella Mai, Kodak Black, 21 Savage, Future, Young Thug, Rick Ross and Jay-Z. First week sales were projected to be between 150,000 and 175,000 units, which is a huge feat in a time where albums don’t sell like they used to.
