Karl "Special K" Douglas is a resident of Decatur, GA and has been doing stand-up comedy professionally since 1996. He has worked comedy clubs, and auditoriums all across the country, working with established stars such as D.L. Hughely, Katt Williams, Monique, Mike Epps, Rickey Smiley, Bruce Bruce, John Witherspoon, Sommore, and many others. His talents have been showcased on television, radio, and he has a lead role in his first feature film in the fall of 2008.

Special K is well known in the business and is considered to be one of the most versatile, gifted, and charismatic comedians in the country. As head writer on the syndicated Rickey Smiley Morning Show, his comedic brilliance is heard by millions each morning across the country.

Over the past 5 years he has further established himself as a writer, self-publishing a hilarious self-help book "100 Problems, 100 Solutions", that has sold several thousand copies.

Special K has further elevated his career with the starring role in the hilarious comedy film titled, "Strip-Off" (Dec. 08) in which he plays a good guy looking for the big payday as the owner of Atlanta's sorriest strip club. The cast includes Don "DC" Curry, Reynaldo Rey, Honey Bunz, Shawty Shawty, Rashaan Ali, and some of the funniest comedians in the ATL. 

Special K has also been featured on TV One's "Black Men Revealed" and travels regularly on the road as Rickey's opening act. He is taking on a new venture this fall as he's been chosen to be the new Ringmaster for the UniverSoul Circus for 2009. He will continue to work as "Special Correspondent" and comedy writer for the Rickey Smiley Morning Show.
