It's like that because we always want the unattainable. Just like lions running wild in the jungle, we're all about the thrill of the chase. Don't ruin the chase for your mate!
There are two reasons for this:
- They enjoy it. They don't know they enjoy it, but trust me, this is what keeps it interesting.
- It makes them appreciate you more and in turn, treat you better. Think about it: the harder you have to work to have something, the more you will appreciate it once you get it.
