Pouring “The Tea” and dishin’ out the latest celebrity news, is how entertainment reporter Gary Hayes keep listeners tuned in! Gary, a 12-year veteran in the radio industry, delivers up a style that keeps listeners waiting for more. He began his career at KJMZ 100.3 in Dallas, one of the top markets in the nation, a feat that is virtually unheard of for a newcomer.
What started as a frequent caller led to a featured weekly character with “The Russ Parr Morning Show.” During that time, he made regular appearances at live remotes, station-sponsored events, night clubs, grand openings and other community events. Listeners flocked to these locations to see for themselves just who was pouring “The Tea,” and serving up the celebrity news!
In the ever-changing face of radio, Gary found himself at another top-rated morning show in Dallas. When the station later changed the music format, it gave Gary the opportunity to work as an associate producer for the newly formatted morning drive slot featuring, “The Tom Joyner Morning Show.”
Gary later found himself playing the character named "Drew" on the "Steve Harvey Morning Show" giving his beloved fans their daily horoscopes. After a short time of working with one of the legends in radio, Gary saw formats changing again. Dallas was undergoing changes, but Gary proved to be a force to be reckoned with. He had amassed a following of fans that scanned the dial to find their beloved Gary. His unique style and sense of humor is now being heard on the "Rickey Smiley and Deez Nuts Morning Show".
Always on the forefront with the latest local and national celebrity news, Gary continues to hype up his listening audience. Whenever people want to know “the tea” about their favorite celebrity, they tune into Gary because he’s “In Da Know!” A main stay in one of the top markets in the country, Gary continues to wow the listening audience with his vivacious flair, colorful commentary, and classy style weekdays as one of "Deez Nuts", on "The Mark McCrazy Morning Show" in Palm Beach, FL, as well as hear Gary on the "Cliff Winston Morning Show" in Los Angeles on V100, mornings pouring tea.
Gary also starred in the hit movie "The Last Stand" (a Russ Parr production) alongside Soul Food actor Darren Henson. Also to Gary's stage creditability he starred in the stage play "I'm Doing The Right Thing With The Wrong Man", A Shelly Garrett production.
Gary is a graduate of Northwood University holding a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. And also a graduate of The American Broadcasting School in Arlington,Tx. |
