Brandy spoke to a blog about her upcoming album Two Eleven and the reunion with Monica fourteen years after their initial hit “The Boy Is Mine.” During that interview, Brandy was asked about a possible tour with Monica. Brandy is a little hesitant to do a tour with Monica at this time because she feels they are at different spaces in their music. The “Put It Down” singer said, “Honestly, we haven’t really talked about it since we stopped promoting “It All Belongs to Me.” I just honestly think Monica and I are in different places in our music. And my vibe is a little bit different this time around so I don’t know. I kind of wanna do my own thing. I definitely feel like the fans would want a tour from us, but I don’t know, I just feel like I’m being pulled in a different direction. I’m definitely still open to it, but right now I’m looking in a different way right now for me.”

Although a tour from these two would be great, I see were Brandy is coming from. Monica’s last album New Life was all about being happy and in love. Brandy didn’t start recording her album until after their idol Whitney Houston died on Brandy’s birthday. So naturally, they’re aren’t going to have the same sound on their projects. On the other hand, how long are they going to make us wait for something that should’ve happened fourteen years ago?
