When the #BringBackOurGirls movement started years ago, nobody expected that in 2017, 195 girls would still be missing and so little has been done about it. Similarly, on our own turf, specifically in the DMV area, young black girls are being abducted at outrageous numbers, and it somehow hasn’t made national news.

These cases of missing young girls more often than not are directly linked to sex trafficking.
