Dr. Dre is threatening legal action against Sony Pictures for the upcoming film, “Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Me,” which is set to air on Lifetime on October 15th. “Surviving Compton” is a biopic former Death Row R&B singer Michel’le.
When the N.W.A. biopic, Straight Out Of Compton came out in theaters last year, its widespread praise was punctuated by those who noted the film conveniently left out the abusive relationship N.W.A tended to have with women. Abuse of women by men like Dr. Dre and Suge Knight is no secret- in fact, some might remember that Dre even publicly acknowledged it himself.
