Lauryn Hill’s Nina Simone Cover Gives Us Goosebumps

Lauryn Hill was one of a few artists chosen to tribute Nina Simone in a forthcoming compilation of the iconic singer’s most popular songs in honor of the upcoming Netflix documentary, What Happened, Miss Simone?

Ms. Hill will be covering a few songs including, “The High Priestess of Soul” and “Feeling Good.” Speaking of the latter, what did you think of L-Boogie’s version?

On Nina Participating in this project, Hill stated:

“Because I fed on this music, both hers and lovers like her, like my basic food, I believed I always had a right to have a voice. Her example is clearly a form of sustenance to a generation needing to find theirs. What a gift.”

What a gift, indeed.

So, basically, Miguelito is trying to be responsible for a spike in the baby population. Also note that his North American tour in support of Wildheart begins July 24th in Austin, Texas. Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 19th.
