Kandi Burruss of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and her husband Todd Tucker have suffered a devastating loss with the passing of his mom, Miss Sharon.

A source close to the family told The Daily Mail that Sharon died earlier today after getting sick and suffering a horrendous stroke on Monday. She was found by one of her friends in New York before being rushed to an area hospital. Todd was in Atlanta when he got word about his mother’s failing health.

Sharon was unconscious when Todd got to New York, and she slipped into a coma last night before she ultimately died. Todd confirmed that his mom had passed on via Instagram, writing, “Today I lost my partner, my ride or die my best friend! I don’t know what to do? I’m lost! My heart hurts so much!”

Kandi also remembered Miss Sharon fondly. They’d only been family for a few months, but the paid had formed a deep bond. “Today has been a tough day. Our family has suffered a terrible loss. Sharon was the best mother in-law!” Kandi wrote in her own message on Instagram

The “RHOA” entrepreneur extraordinaire remembered Sharon as someone who really had a lock on the maternal skill of getting you together in one moment and lovingly give you a hug the next.

Along with her own mourning, Kandi is most concerned about how her new husband is handling the loss of his mother. “It’s unbelievable that she’s gone. I’m so sad for @todd167 because they were so close… He talked to her every morning & all thru out the day, every day,” she wrote. “It’s hard losing people that you love but when it’s out of the blue with no warning it just makes it that much harder…. I’m still in shock.”

Condolences to Todd, Kandi and all of Sharon’s loved ones at this time.

I loved how she liked to get up & go all the time. She would get you in check one minute & give you a hug the next minute. She still had a young spirit. It’s unbelievable that she’s gone. I’m so sad for@todd167 because they were so close… He talked to her every morning & all thru out the day, every day. It’s hard losing people that you love but when it’s out of the blue with no warning it just makes it that much harder…. I’m still in shock.
