Welp! That was quick! According to Us Magazine, rapper Big Sean just called off his engagement to “Glee” actress Naya Rivera! As we previously reported, Big Sean and Naya were engaged in October of last year. Well apparently there has been some trouble in paradise lately.
A rep for Big Sean confirmed that the wedding was called off and said,
“After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off. The recent rumors and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.”
This comes on the heels of Star magazine reporting that Sean was running around on Naya. In the Star article it was proclaimed that Rivera called the wedding off. But a source close to the situation tells Us,
“Sean did not cheat on Naya and the allegations are 100% false and untrue.”
The source also said that it was Sean who called off the wedding.
Sadly Rivera just recently gave an interview to Cosmopolitan for Latinas in which she said that she believed Sean was going to be,
“An amazing husband,” and someday, “a great father. He’s so kind to people, but he also wears the pants in our relationship, which I love. We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it’s even sweeter that I’ve found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute.”
We wish them both well as they try to figure some things out.
