When it comes to his 20-year-old daughter’s engagement, Bobby Brown says he’s not a proud papa.
According to a recent interview with TMZ, it’s clear that at the “My Prerogative” singer doesn’t approve of Bobbi Kristina’s planned marriage to her “adopted brother” Nick Gordon.
When asked, “How excited are you for your daughter — she’s about to get married and stuff?” Brown shot back with, “I’m not!”
“When your daughter gets married, it’s different. It’s not a question if I like him or not,” he said.”I just want her to be happy.”
The former New Edition member went on to say that one of the reasons he doesn’t approve of the engagement is because Gordon didn’t ask him for Bobbi’s hand in marriage.
“When he calls me I will figure that out,” he said.
The daughter of the late Whitney Houston announced her second engagement to Gordon on Facebook last week.
Although Whitney referred to Gordon has her “son,” Bobbi Kristina insists that they are not related.
“Let me clear up something, we aren’t even real brother and sister nor is he my adoptive brother. My mom never adopted him. In fact, mommy was the one who even said that she knew that we were going to start dating,” she said.
According to Bobby, a date for the ceremony as yet to be set.
